Original silver earrings Noshi refer to a Japanese culture in Heian period, where samurai warriors used to exchange origami called Noshi as a talisman bringing luck.

Handmade earrings, silver, matte finish, partly matt black rhodium plating. The earrings are 1 cm high and 0.6 cm wide, Ag 925/1000.

This design jewel was designed for MOOYYY by Czech designer Natalie Vicenová within her Origami collection.

Designer Natalie Vicenová has devise design earrings that are based on simple geometry but are deceiving their true shape with the glare of the observer. Playfulness is underlined by the color combination of silver and black rhodium. From Japanese culture, they lend delicacy and humble obscurity, as well as love for a minimalist expression. Jewelry was designed in paper form, like a traditional origami.

ORIGAMI COLLECTION

Origami collection presents design jewelry which is inspired by Japanese art of folding paper. It features necklaces, earrings, rings and brooches in two product lines, Noshi and Nami. It is characterized by simple geometry and fine shapes. Playfulness of the jewelry is characterized by sharp angles and simple geometry, it is highlighted by the combination of silver, gold and black rhodium finish. Noshi product line goes way back to Heian period, where samurai warriors used to exchange origami called „Noshi“ as a good luck charm. Nami product line refers to a wave as a traditional motive of Japanese art. Raging sea represents life and its hardships as well as strength and courage of those who overcome them.

Natalie Vicenová  
She was born in Prague, where she graduated from the Czech-French Jan Neruda Grammar School in Hellichova Street, majoring in Media and Communication Studies at Charles University and a graphic design course at the Scholastika College of Fine Arts. Currently she works as a graphic designer and designs jewelry for MOOYYY. Elements collection inspired by Vedic learning is the most successful MOOYYY collection so far. She finds inspiration for her designs in natural motives, architecture, fine arts, minimalism and Japanese culture, which is the main motive of her Origami jewelry collection from autumn 2018.
